I have had this controller for over 2 years now and it works excellent. Controls are simple to use and allow a lot of flexibility. The back up battery function is very nice considering I have never had the need to re-program the unit with the many power-outs we get in FL.
Although all the Orbit products I have purchased have always met my satisfaction I have to say that this particular timer is not the timer I have written this review for. It may be that the former controller is no longer under production. With that said, I have always trusted Orbit products and they have always backed up their guarantee whenever I have needed it.
I have two 6 station clocks and I have had them for years. About five years ago a lightning storm came through and hit our house. It fried my wife's dryer, knocked out a light switch and burned up both orbit clocks. I called the company just for the fun of it and told them my story. I didn't expect what happened, but they replaced both clocks free of charge. I didn't think there was that type of service in this old world today, but I'm a believer when it comes to the orbit products and the integrity of the company. I also have their automatic valves and I run creek water through them all I have ever replaced is a solenoid or two and the valves are older than the clocks. I'd sure recommend these products.
